SYNOPSIS

Vassili is a prostitute living in Paris. He is not so young any more, and the “job” becomes harder. He now often has to cope with daily humiliations and rejections by his clients. Feeling at first powerless in front of them, he is now absolutely outraged, and eventually slaughters his disgruntled customers.

One night, he saves an unconscious young man who has obviously been assaulted. As the young man is injured and seems completely amnesiac, Vassili decides to offer him shelter. He takes good care of the beautiful young man, makes love to him and gives him a name : Angelo.

The two men fall in love, and eventually work both together as prostitutes.

Yet Vassili continues killing. When a perverse client compels Angelo to a painful intercourse, Vassili murders him in front of his lover.

Angelo is shocked, but he does neither break up with Vassili, nor refuse the money from the murders. Some past memories begin to flash, and frighten him.

After his flat has been vandalized, Vassili feels danger and wants them to start a new life far away from Paris.

They first go to Lyon, where Vassili has an old friend. Carole is a singer, living with her mother and her son called…Vassili. Then they move in the Vercors, to visit another friend called Victor, who was Vassili’s first client and now lives in a big property.

Everyone seems to be happy. But Victor’s lover (apparently a gigolo) doesn’t appreciate the couple’s presence and the way they seem to take advantage of the old man’s largesse.

At the same time, Angelo’s memories become clearer: it would seem that Vassili was somehow involved in his aggression…

The lovers’ runaway will have end up tragically.
